PVD is a super biocompatible titanium coating on Implant Grade Titanium. Physical Vapor Deposition is a process where the stainless steel is vaporized in an arc then electrically deposited onto the body jewelry. This is an implant-grade process and is autoclavable.
Titanium is an extremely lightweight, elemental metal. The specific alloy used for body jewelry is 6AL4V (6% aluminum, 4% vanadium), specifically 136 grade.
