All gauges are approximately 7/16" long with about a 5/16" wearable area. The star shape goes all the way through the plug, so you see it on both ends of the double flared plug.

The flares on this thing are pretty harsh - the size of the flares on the 6g size are about 2g. I used a Dremel tool and sandpaper to grind one end of each down to 4g. Other than that they're nice basic plugs.
