NOTE: This item is made from organic (non-metal) material. It is hand made, not machine made, so perfection to a certain gauge and color is not always possible. Expect the gauge to vary up to 1mm larger or smaller than the stated gauge. This variance is NOT considered a defect.
A clear core of molten glass is rolled in glass powders and fused at 1800 degrees Fahrenheit. Vertigo Claws have a matte finish, with a ground and polished face to create a "window" into the interior of the piece. There is some variation in the VERTIGO series due to the unpredictability of working with fused glass powders.

I have yet to buy a Gorilla Glass product that I've been unhappy with and while these are not my favorite earrings I own they are fun to wear on occasion. The quality and craftsmanship is overwhelmingly impressive, the color mine are actually blues and greens but where not listed on the site at the moment is intense and the hollow vortex look is so pretty and unique! My only complaint, and it is a VERY small one, is that the matte surface of these earrings does make my ears a bit sore if I wear them multiple days in a row. This jewelry always gets me compliments, they are lovely.
