Exclamation Anatometal Brand Body Jewelry - Anatometal Inc.

Anatometal Inc., in Santa Cruz, California, makes some of the best body jewelry in the world. Anatometal was a pioneer in the body modification community and Anatometal has been making body jewelry since November, 1991.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, SteelNavel.com will no longer be selling Anatometal brand body jewelry. We'll miss working with the Anatometal staff because they were always extremely helpful.

We still have lots of Anatometal brand body jewelry in stock but once we run out, we will not be purchasing any more body jewelry from Anatometal.

Anatometal has told us that any pending orders for our customers that pre-ordered Anatometal body jewelry will be filled. We should be shipping the first half of Anatometal pre-orders by early next week and the remaining Anatometal pre-orders in about one week.

Most of the body jewelry styles we previously sold from Anatometal are also available from Industrial Strength and Body Circle Designs. If the gauge and size of an Anatometal piece is sold out, please look for the equivalent product from another factory listed under the "You may also be interested in:" section.

That sucks ... occasionally the Anatometal options were a little cheaper and I know it's my piercer's preferred brand (though I like IS just fine myself.)

What happened?

EDIT - Will IS captive beads work in Anatometal CBRs? I just bought all these Anatometal CBRs for my ears (six of them!) and I got them in high-polish so any color of bead could be swapped out if I wanted to accessorize. I'd hate to have to turn around and invest in six more titanium CBRs just because they're a different brand.

The one line email we received from the owner of Anatometal had a confidentiality notice so I'm unable to discuss it.

It's unfortunate though because we were in the process of adding 550 new designs from Anatometal. We already paid a temp employee for several months to enter all the database information for those new Anatometal products. And Anatometal products sold really well for us. It might be because we're the number three result on Google when you search for Anatometal.

Ironically, our last order from Anatometal contains the 4g SS circulars I bought for myself.

But like I said above, we sell similar body jewelry from Industrial Strength and Body Circle Designs.

You're totally in luck. Both Anatometal and Industrial Strength make the same type of captive bead where the bead dimples are the same size as the ring gauge. They will fit perfectly!

Wow, one line? That doesn't sound like it was good. Now I'm left wondering, though I understand you can't discuss it (I'm bound by nondisclosure agreements myself for work, so I know how it goes.)

Well, it's their loss. You're one of the biggest retailers for them online so if they want to lose that, well, I don't mind giving my business to someone who appreciates my favorite online body jewelry store! Like IS!

And I'm glad to hear that IS captive beads will work with Anatometal CBRs. That's a HUGE relief for me.

Default Wishing about Anatometal

Thanks for you encouraging words!

I wish it had worked out differently. But as my wife's grandmother used to say: "Wish in one hand, piss in the other, and see which one gets full first!"

We're going down to Carlsbad next Wednesday to visit our friends at Industrial Strength. We haven't seen their new factory since they moved from Richmond in Northern California to here in Southern California. I'll take some pictures and post them here. I bet they have a giant chocolate water fall to mix the chocolate! Oh, wrong factory.

I visited the Anatometal factory a while back and it was awesome to see how they made things. Anatometal body jewelry has an incredible polish, so it was fun to see the guys actually doing the polishing.

It's a bummer that you guys won't be selling Anatometal any more. =( It's my piercer's favorite brand . . . and I was actually first referred to SteelNavel by a customer service agent AT Anatometal. I was looking at their jewelry on their website, and when I e-mailed to ask if there was any way to buy it directly from them (other than as a wholesale/bulk order), they sent me over here!

Now, a couple years later, I'd definitely choose to stick with SteelNavel over Anatometal. Industrial Strength jewelry, here I come!! =)

That's exactly the great customer service at Anatometal that I'm going to miss! There are a few styles of body jewelry that only Anatometal makes and we're sad to no longer be offering those. A good example is the gemmed eyelet. Those are unique to Anatometal, and while quite expensive, they're really beautiful.

Anyway, we really appreciate your support. If there's any Industrial Strength product you see on their web site that's not currently available in our store, just let us know and we can make it available for you to pre-order.

Smile Anatometal shipment

We received an Anatometal shipment today. It looks like it contains everything that was pre-ordered. We're going to try shipping all the pending Anatometal orders today.

Default Anatometal Correction

Today we shipped all Anatometal pre-orders that we're scheduled to ship today. We still have one batch of Anatometal pre-orders that are scheduled to ship on 7/3.
