Question Daith piercing

What type of jewelry do people usually get for a daith piercing ? CBR ? Curved barbell ? I want to get a daith piercing but was curious what peoples' experiences have been.

I was pierced with a cbr. I'd wanted a curved barbell, since I find I heal more easily with them. Didn't have the proper size though, so we used the cbr.

I think it got knocked around a whole heck of a lot during cleaning. The swelling was pretty incredible, and got infected. So I put myself on antibiotics - and ordered a curved barbell. Switched it out myself at about 3 weeks.

Took up almost the entire 3/8" barbell, and this is not easy to get in. The swelling went down almost immediately and I had no further problems. It was slightly annoying that the barbell always wanted to turn so the bottom ball was in the ear canal, but other than that there were no further issues.

I am happily back in a cbr. Tried fixed bead rings and seamless rings, but I can never manage to get them closed properly.

I usually go to Payson for my piercings, so a road trip for jewelry changes is not practical for me.

(Guess I like to "talk" about my piercings, huh?)

Aw, c'mon, it's really not THAT far. I've driven from Chicago to central Alaska -- now THAT is a road trip!

Well, when I moved here to Arizona we drove - from NYC - on a converted schoolbus - that was dying all the way. Took us 3 1/2 weeks. Got towed several times.

Road trip will never have the same meaning for me again.

i got my double daith done both at the same time and we used cbr's for both so that the smaller one sits inside of the larger one, like a bullseye. i have never had a problem with either of them.
