Yikes! Now you are 13 hours ahead of me instead of just 12. You all must not adhere to the goofiness that they dub Daylight Saving time over there. We just got off of it this past Sunday, and I'm glad. I HATE IT! Indiana just started doing it about three years ago, and I think it's totally stupid!

Can't you cuddle with the pig?

Parts of Indiana. When I would go visit my friend in South Bend, we'd go to his parents in Grovertown. South Bend observed it, Grovertown did not. So we'd get to his parents before we left.

I knew that, but I didn't want to confuse everyone. Trust me when I say I could tell you WAAAAAAAY more about Indiana's previous adherence (or lack thereof) of DST seeing as how I've lived here the greater part of 39 years.

But since you opened the can of worms ...

Just go here. They say it in less words than I would ... lol.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_zones_in_Indiana

Scroll down especially to the end. The fact that I am on Eastern Time and have to follow DST is stupid. I live like ... seven miles from the state line (and time zone line, for that matter).

(Maybe I should move to Illinois. Their minimum wage is higher ... lol!)

I had a great day yesterday. First, I finally got approved for reimbursement from my loans that I had applied for in December and gave up on, lol. My card will arrive within the next couple weeks and that combined with funds that I had left from my grants that's arriving this coming week will be enough to cover the expensive equipment and printing costs that pertain to an event that's part of my final quarter! I finally have enough for a new computer and a bunch of stuff that goes with it!

Second, we went out to a new buffet (new for us, but really old here in town) and I got my first player's card and gambled for the first time! My g-ma and I played for a lil while and won quite a bit. I was gonna split the money with my mom,(she had me play her card too and that's the one I won on), but she said that she wanted me to split it with my sisters. So, I split it among both of my sisters. My middle sis was finally able to get some sweaters that she wanted, so it was all good. I can't wait to go gambling with my g-ma again, it was soooo much fun!

That's great you went out and spent time with your grandma!
Mine would probably have a stroke if I suggested we go to the boat in E'ville.
Then again, she's 80 years old and fairly conservative.
Keep in mind I'll be 39 myself next month but when I got my nostril done, she about had a fit. She's pretty conservative, but I will give her this: even though she hates my piercings/tattoos, she would NEVER EVER belittle me in front of other people.
It's a Midwestern thing, lol

Mine lives with me, so she has no choice but to see my piercings everyday . No, but seriously, she hated when I'd bring up I was gonna get a new piercing, but once I got it, she'd get used to it. Her favorite body piercing of mine (which is kinda funny that you mentioned it) is my nostril piercing. She especially loves when I wear my AB crystal nostril screw. As for piercings now, I've got 9 and she knows that it's my thing and that if that's what I'm into, than that's what I'm into. She may not completely agree with it, but she respects it. As for tattoos (which I have yet to get) she has no issues with those at all.

I always show off my SN orders to her too.
