Just one cabinet? You'll have to guess which one has your favorite stuff. They are all in alpha numeric order by product SKU, then by gauge, then by size, then by color. Ten years ago, Lenore could fit our entire inventory on a 2' x 4' coffee table. Now the inventory boxes placed end to end would stretch almost 500', and it's growing fast. But still, Bree, Gigi, or Lenore could find what you want in seconds.

You need to start soon so you can fire me. I need some time off. Today I shopped for seismic hardware and will go in Sunday to bolt all those cabinets to the wall. The trick being that they are six feet from the wall.

So I had this HUGE rant written up about how most businesses suck when it comes to giving PTO to their employees, but I realized that to most people it probably wouldn't have made much sense. Big business (like *cough* Walmart *cough*) need to understand happy and healthy employees are more productive employees and therefore beneficial to the business, in the long run.

<------ headache that I've had since last night and WON'T go away!
12 hours later, I finally broke down and took the strongest stuff I had in my house a few minutes ago. But it will make me crash hard within the next hour, grrrrrrrrr

Sela walmart's aditude since the economic down turn has been if you don't like it we have 30,000 other people waiting to take your job.

I have to request a month in advance for a day off and they deny that request a lot of the time. Every other job I have ever worked I just told them hey I'm not going to be there and they dealt with it, you should not have to ask for time off you should just inform them with ample notice.

Today's headache has resisted 3 advil and 2 Excedrin Migraine tabs so far.

I hate having to waste my day off laying in a dark room.

Since I'm in new job, I get limited time off. No black friday sleep in after early am shopping for me this year. My old job required 2 weeks notice for time off, and this one wants about the same. The only time I've been denied was when the boss's email filter filtered out business email (courtesy of comcast, our other comcast clients couldn't get our emails either).

Same here. Whether it's vacation, comp, or personal time, they require I give two weeks' notice. Which I'm fine with, EXCEPT for the fact that DAY STAFF can ask off like .. the day before. The same Mickey Mouse rules apply to sick time. I have to call in sick like ... 10 hours ahead of time, but day staff can call in 5 minutes beforehand. I'm not exaggerating here. It's a double standard that I'm sick and tired of. Oh yeah, and then there's the "we can't find anyone to work for you, so you'll have to do it" ....................... well DUH no one wants to work third shift but that's not my problem! Given that I've given them plenty of notice (I always do) if no one wants to work it, then MANAGEMENT should have to deal with it and work it themselves if necessary. It's not like I abuse it (hardly). I've got like ... 150 vacation hours and get this: almost 300 sick hours accrued. But they still rather pander to the day-shift crowd that calls in "sick" every other week. ^&#%^$&$&#%$^

Nothing's touched mine, either. Not even the strong stuff that put me under. I woke up and the headache was still here.
