Thread: ugh!

  1. #1

    Unhappy ugh!

the last couple days i've been having forum issues, in that when i click to see the most recent page on any thread that has more than one, it will load partially and then immediately revert to the first page of every thread.
    *every single time*
i can't see the most recent posts on anything - it doesn't seem to matter what i do.

i guess i might be the only one having this problem, as people are clearly commenting on things, but it's driving me nuts!

i haven't changed any of my viewing settings or anything, so it should all be the same as before this was an issue.
    any suggestions?

    This stuff makes me nutz!

Every so often, I will have problems with a site...just that site, nowhere else, and at the same time, everyone else is having no issues whatsoever with that site. It's like being blacklisted.

And then, there was a site that wouldn't load for me after I registered. But then, it got better, a little at a time, until after about 2 weeks, everything was cool again. Like getting over a nasty cold. This stuff absolutely baffles my non-nerd self.

    I feel your pain/frustration

The only thing that changed is the notice i put at the top of every forum. When that goes away on Friday, I'm curious if your problem will go away too.

well, it works on a mac (another yay for macs, can't wait to finally get one), so maybe it's just something weird with the library pcs. bleh. i will let you know.
    happy moving!

I'd say it's something weird with the library PCs. They either get so much "junk" from people going whither and yon and picking up "colds" (not quite full blown viruses) and/or any nanny software that may be installed.

Yea, shared PC's do act up a lot cos so many put all kinds of setting on em. I'm sure you'll be ok on another PC/MAc. Happy Halloween.
