Thread: Favourite Piercing you could/would never get.

Default Favourite Piercing you could/would never get.

What piercing(s) do you really like and appreciate but could/would never get? And for what reason? Be it the pain, improper anatomy, etc?

For me it would have to be large gauge labret. I like lip disks in their appearance and their connection to primitives. I just fear gum recession and I am not sure I could be that committed to mod (I am uncertain as to which career path I am pursuing).

Beside the piercings I haven't been able to get due to my anatomy, the piercings that I can't get but would really want would have to be dermal punched nostrils at 0 ga. Again, I don't know what I'm going to be doing for a career, so I need to stick to piercings that I can take out and won't leave a huge scar(at least in my face anyway).

Meh, I'll get them one day, even if I have to wait until I'm 80. []

I have always liked punched nostrils as well. If I did punch them I would stretch them as well. Not too big, but just big enough! I think that would be second on my list of things to get if I could get anything.

I didn't really specify a size in my post. I think I would go from 25mm X 10mm lip plate.

I think stretched medusas are also pretty cool. I'd never get a big one, but they're nice to look at.

Medusa's are one of those very facial specific modifications. You have to have the right face for it. I don't, so therefore I can't see myself with one.

Also stretched medusa's are pretty rare, aren't they? Do you know anyone with one? Or who wants one? That is pretty rare as well. Usually they are on girls who only want them small. Cough-Scene Kids-Cough

I remember there was a picture of someone on BME with a 00 ga medusa. My friend said he wanted a big one, but I don't know if he'll ever get it.

Haha, I would get a small gauge medusa, and I don't consider myself scene. [] It's not going to happen though because I'm going to have to get a part time job soon, and I'll probably have trouble finding one that will allow me to keep the facial piercings I DO have.

I just meant there are a lot of scene kids that only have piercings to fit in and be cool. These are the same kinds that stretch their lobes to over an inch, but poorly so they get cat's ass and blow outs. These people also do absolutely NO research before getting piercings so they ask plenty of stupid questions that are answered on every body mod site or get pierced at cheap and crappy shops.

I support body modification, but doing it as only a means to be 'cool' is lame.

Ugh, I know what you mean. The same people come up to me asking me where I buy my needles. *sigh*

That is lovely. Why are some people so ignorant?

Sure, DIY is alright, but really if you don't know where to buy needles, don't bother. You obviously have no idea what you are doing, or haven't done any research.

I rarely agree with self piercing and only in specific cases. If you're doing it because your parents won't take you to a professional piercer/ going to a professional piercer is too expensive / you think you know more than a professional piercer, in my opinion, you shouldn't be doing it yourself.

I do my own play piercing because they aren't permanent and I am fully aware of the consequences and problems that could occur from piercing myself.
