Amber is fossil resin or tree sap. Baltic amber is less expensive because it's more readily available and is often cut with other materials. Dominican Republic amber is a bit more expensive because it's more rare and is pure amber. All amber varies in color and will have various inclusions of organic material. All our amber products may be lighter or darker than the sample photo but are sold in matched pairs.
