Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass. Obsidian glasses vary from a pure jet black, to a scintillating gold or silver color. The pure jet black color is used in this pair. Both sides of these plugs are concaved which makes them unusually light weight. The wearable area is 3/8" and the overall width is 1/2".
The Aztecs wore exquisitely carved obsidian ear-expansors, septums, and labrets a thousand years ago. Gorilla OBSIDIAN PLUGS are proudly crafted by third generation Mexican obsidian carvers.
